Since we are now officially on the countdown

Okay so I may be jumping the gun by a few days, but believe it or not one and all, we are almost to the 1/2 way mark where we officially have less than 6 months remaining until we celebrate All Hallows Eve. And to celebrate, I thought I'd post some pictures of Clark Manor from last year that I never got around to posting. Also, I needed an excuse to post something on ye ol' blog site cause it's been awhile since the Clarks from Spanish posted.

Here's hoping you find your own way to celebrate the 6 month mark that is upon us here in 4 more days. It truly is a blessed date when we can start the 'official' countdown, and can say that we have less than 1/2 a year to go!!!!!

And for my parting words today, I hope all of you that are state-side have been watching Idol. This season has been soo insanely awesome. The new song I threw on the playlist is compliments of Haley from last week. She covered Adele's version of 'Falling in the Deep' and I haven't been able to stop listening to it all week. That being said, G. and I are rooting for either Casey or James to win it all. All the contestants are just soooo good this year. And yes, I have eaten my words that J Lo was going to ruin the show. She has turned out to be a fantastic judge and I'm loving having her and Steven Tyler on the panel this year.
Idol... T-minus 9 hrs. and counting!

and if you're interested in re-watching Haley's version, enjoy...
okay, so I shouldn't have started youtubing this morning cause I found this other gem that reminded me just why I'm rooting for Casey this year...

The Clark County Fair

I've been complaining a bit the last month or so that it already feels like summer here, but it got so chilly last weekend that it hailed. We never get hail here, especially in April. Weather is always crazy come fair weekend.

Rob with an angora rabbit.

We ended up with a disproportionate number of Gwen pictures because I had laryngitis and took the older kiddos (they could read my notes), while Ben took Gwen on the little rides. And he had the camera because it was too easy for the little darlings to ignore me when I wanted to take a picture. Thanks for recommending the Cybershot, Heidi. It took great pictures, even though it was cloudy and rainy.

I thought the best attraction this year was the stunt show. They had an escape artist, Kristen Johnson, the only person who's ever escaped the Chinese Water Torture Cell in full view. And she did. It was so cool. I found a YouTube video of her performing it elsewhere, if you want to watch. She really starts the escape around two minutes in (not that I think you should skip the handcuffs ect.), and the Wikipedia link above mentions Johnson in the "Modern Interpretations" section.

What did you do last weekend?

April!!!

(Stole this pic from Camille's Blog)

(Also from Camille's Blog..)

Happy April to anyone! I'm lovin the warm 50's.. can't wait for the 70's and 80's!!!
Does anyone feel like coming over to mom and dads house to weed? They are already taking over!!! (Trust me mom... when you get home your garden is gonna look weed free! ;)

I would love to wish a very Happy Birthday to Jayson- April 12th... He's finally turning 25! Can you believe he's a dentist at the age of 25? I heard the other day he got mistaken to be a young man in the ward.. rather then the young men's president :) I bet now that your 25 that won't happen again!

Eli is having a birthday on the 26th... He's gonna be 5! (right Camille?)

Little Sam is turning one on the 18th! As you can see he is as handsome as ever!

Little Molly is turning one on the 27th. Molly and Sam should really meet :) I think they would like each other :)

Hope you all have a happy April!
