I had a dream

Shortly after moving into Clark Manor, I had this crazy idea. I knew how to go about carrying out this idea, but I lacked the tools.... until this past week.
Thanks to the BYU surplus sale, I finally acquired what I needed and set out to surprise G with what I hoped, was a good idea. It's always a bit risky when I take on a home improvement project without consulting G. Not because I fear she won't approve, but simply because I'm pretty useless by myself.
And while I didn't get the finished project completed in the time she was out shopping this morning, she was surprised when she saw the semi-completed project none-the-less.
I don't think I've ever been more proud of any project I've ever undertaken. So, without any further pomp and circumstance, enjoy what the Clark Clan tackled over Conference Saturday.

Our killer garage as it was early this morning.

I had naively thought I could crank out the entire project in 3 hrs. Here we are at the 3 hr. mark.

6 hrs. in

All finished! G. and the Bugg actually went to JoAnn's during the Priesthood Session to pick out the pink paint and had her all finished when I got home.

Dedicated to the two girls who make my life so fantastic every single day!

  3. Ryan, sometimes when Heidi tells me about your loves of Halloween, skulls, and the like I think we must somehow be related. Then I see you do a Bad-A thing like this and KNOW we must be related. Either way, that is a pretty rad thing to do in your house. :)

  4. Ahhh, so glad you all approve. And thanks, Chellor, I'm always thrilled to meet other 'like minds'. Even though it's been a few weeks now, the novelty hasn't worn off. Every time I come home, she manages to put a smile on my face.
As for your profile pic.... LOVIN' IT. That hair is beyond gorgeous. It would make Robert Smith jealous, and I've been Robert for several Halloweens in the past!

  5. That hair was a masterpiece I'm still proud of so thank you. My hair is much too long to do it like that now, but I might just try again this year! :)
